Working with two of the world's great wine varieties grown in one of the world's great red wine regions provides a special foundation for any winemaker. The result is a full flavoured, deliciously indulgent, opulent and warm, dry wine, dark and sweetly fruited with a hint of blackberry and plum, with a big hit of cocoa on the finish. An ideal partner for an antipasto platter featuring a range of salami and smoked meats, or any meaty casserole, like lamb shanks.

A complex black cassis nose is complemented by lifted varietal and regional notes of mulberry leaf, eucalypt and mint. A chalky, structural wine that shows off the Langhorne Creek region. Leafy varietal characters work well with the plush plummy and cassis fruit.

On the nose, is a complex amalgam of dark berry fruit, cassis and roasted cocoa bean, lifted by more fragrant aromas of cedar, sandalwood and hints of dried lavender and thyme. The palate is full bodied with firm but fine-grained tannin and great length.

Intense dark colour red with purple edge. Ripe blackberry and blueberry characters, cedar-wood and liquorice. Soft, rich, mouth coating, balanced tannin, hints of classic Cabernet, authentically Heathcote.

Dark & concentrated in colour, with red and purple hues. The bouquet is rich aromas of blackcurrant, mint, dark chocolate, coffee bean and earth. The Palate is plush and vibrant, the textural palate has fine tannins, and excellent persistence with fruitcake, plum, rum & raisin flavours.

Fine cocoa like tannin structure, finishing with chocolate and lingering black and red current fruit.

Our winemakers first craft beautifully rich red wines matured in traditional wine barrels. Then using our unique double barrel technique, the wine is finished in aged whisky barrels to build additional layers of complexity and an incredibly smooth finish. Double barrel cabernet sauvignon has aromas of vanilla, nuts and varietal cassis with ground spice and leafy notes.

All the characteristics of the distinctive new word are captured in our South Australian wines. This wine features black currant, mulberry and vanilla bean aromas, complemented by spicy plum flavours and a lovely, long finish.
